The employees of the Jammu and Kashmir forest corporation Wednesday staged a protest demanding release of pending wages and regularization of their jobs.
The employees under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir forest corporation Union (JKFCU) assembled at Press Enclave here and staged anti-government demonstration, witnesses told Kashmir News Trust.
Chanting slogans, the protesters were demanding regularization of daily rated workers release of wages that are pending from past 4 months.
“If our demands are not fulfilled till 23rd of this month, we will hit to roads and on 24th stage a massive protest outside Civil Secretariat Srinagar,” Haji Bashir Ahmed, who led the protest, said.
“The starving workers were today forced to come on the roads and take out protests, putting their lives to risk in this Covid-19 surcharged environment,” he added.
He lamented the casual approach of the Government to deal with issues confronting employees.
