Srinagar: Government has ordered enquiry into the Sopore boy’s mysterious killing.
As per reports reaching Roshan Kashmir District Magistrate Baramulla has appointed Additional District Magistrate Baramulla as enquiry officer.
Sources further told that 5 member committee headed by ADC Baramulla will enquire the killing and will put the report before District Magistrate Baramulla.
It is pertinent to mention that death of a 23-year-old in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla triggered a fresh wave of anger in the district with police claiming that deceased youth was an Over Ground Worker arrested on September 15 along with two grenades and that he died after fleeing during the night raid after which his body was found near a stone quarry.
The family, however, out rightly, rejected the police claim and alleged that their son was dubbed as a militant and he was killed in police custody. The authorities also snapped the internet in the area to prevent any law and order incident.
