Army Mela was organised by 19 Rastriya Rifles DILER COY in Gadoole Kokernag.

Armys 19 Rashtriya Rifles Diler Coy Gadoole held a village mela at Cricket Stadium Gadool in South Kashmirs Anantnag district.

The Indian Army on wednesday organised a mega event Village Mela’ in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir to give a platform to youth to showcase their talent in sports and other fields, while following COVID-19 protocols.

The Mela witnessed a hundreds ofpeople from Gadool Frimoo Vailoo and adjacent villages with unprecedented participation of the youth who eagerly took the responsibility of making it a grand and successful event, a defence Major Rahul said.

In this Mela 19 RR persuade Children to take part in variety of games A number of competitions like Singing Dancing were organized for the Children like the cricket and volleyball Race etc.

All the events were organized by Diler Coy 19 RR Army with enthusiastic participation from children and local people.

On this Occasion Chief Guest CO 19 RR Darminder Yadav along with Bdc Chairman Parveena Akhter 2ic Crpf 164 battalion distribute Prizes among children who take part in activities in event during the closing ceremony.instead of this free medical checkup and free medicines were distributed among Childrens and Locals

All COVID-19 precautions were followed strictly. Many government officials and all village heads (Sarpanch / Panchs) attended the event.

The locals were happy to witness such a mela event in their area. The village elders were appreciative and lauded the efforts taken by indian army to make the event a grand success and requested for more such events in the future in Breng Kokernag.
