Dialgam Volleyball League – 2020 was organised by Dialgam camp of 19 Rashtriya Rifles, in which 16 teams from Anantnag district participated. Teams from Kanganhal, Brenty, Achabal, Shelipora, Imoh, Damhal, Shichan, Pethbugh, Mir Bazaar, Larkipora, Gund Fatehpora etc Participated in the grand Volleyball League.

The final match was played between Brenty and Kanganhal at Larkipora Polytechnic College Ground. Brenty team showcased an energetic move and won the grand finale of tournament by 3-2.

On this occasion officiating Commanding Officer Lt Col Manpreet Singh of 19 Rashtriya rifles was chief guest along with Block Development Officer Mohd Aasif Malik. Other officials of Youth Services and Sports department were also present in Grand Finale.

While speaking with media, Lt Col Manpreet Singh told that we have already received lots of requests from youths of areas for organising sports events of these sort. While organising this Volleyball league, we got a positive response from all teams and players were given opportunity and platform to showcase their hidden talents.

The team players thanked the Indian army for organising such events which keeps the youth away from drugs and channelises their energy in constructive way and appealed for conduct of more such events.

These tournaments will not only provide a platform to the youth to showcase their skills, but will also increase their interest in sports and can advance the sport as their career.
