Sopore Rashtriya Rifles has organised Sopore Musical Festival 2020 on 22 Nov 2020 with “Sada-e-Hunar” Let the Talent Flourish as theme of the event to showcase Kashmiri forgotten musical legacy to the local populace of Sopore region. This pursuance is also taken with an aim to inspire the hidden talented youth of Sopore region to come forward and participate in such event in future.
For the first time, the local populace of Sopore region witnessed a mega musical event at the Sopore Degree College. During the event, eight singers performed among them Shafi Sopori, Babar Mudassir and Nargis Khatoon won hearts of all the audiences with their captivating voices.
The audience were enthralled after witnessing such great performances and requested for organising more of such events in future. All the participants were felicitated and given mementos as a token of appreciation. The Sopore Rashtriya Rifles along with their organising partner Kay Eleven in collaboration with Government Degree College, Sopore were highly praised by the local populace for organising such a great event in Sopore region.
Moreover, the local populace also appreciated that this type of events can assist in building competitiveness amongst the local youth in future and can surely keep them away from the menace of drug abuse and prevailing militancy in the region.
