Kashmir Body Building Competition Finale in Srinagar “SHER-E-KASHMIR” title won by Sameee Najar.

Srinagar 02 December ; As part of its initiatives towards encouragement of youth and development of sporting culture, the final round of event SHER E KASHMIR was conducted by 20 RR in Srinagar, today. The event witnessed participation of youth from various district of the valley. The competition was divided into 08 different weight categories that saw some 50-youth fighting for the coveted title of “SHERE KASHMIR

The preliminary competitions were organised by various Army units at 9 different locations across North & South Kashmir, in which more than 200 youth participated. The best 50 body builders were called upon for the final competition, SHER-E-KASHMIR, which was held today at Srinagar. All the winners were given cash prizes. The first prize of Rs 21,000/, along with the title of Sher-E-Kashmir was won by Sameer Najar. The first Runners Up, Moin Nisar won a cash prize of Rs 11,000/. The overall 2nd Runners Up award of Rs 5100/, went to Showkat Ah Hurra.

The names of other prize winners in various weight categories are as follows; In the below 60kg first was Moin Nisar. In the category of 60kg-65kg the winner was Sajad Ah Pala. In the weight category of 65kg-70kg the winner was Showkat Ah Hurra. In the category of 70kg-75kg the winner was Mir Rafiq Hussain. In the category of 75kg-80kg the winner was Sameer Najar. In the category of 80kg-85kg the winner was Ishfaq Rasool Bhat. In the category of 85kg-90kg the winner was Hilal Ah Lone. In the over 90kg category the winner was Kazi Wasim.

The event was very well received by all the participants and the Kashmiri Awaam lauded the efforts of Indian Army and requested it to conduct such events in near future as well.
