Kulgam, Dec 6, : Driver of a private vehicle was arrested after he hit and injured two policemen in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday late afternoon.
The incident occurred at Chumbgund hamlet where these policemen were performing their duties.
Police sources told news agency that at Chumbgund Kulgam a private car (DL8CY-1114) driven by one Sayar Ahmad Sheergujri, a resident of Achthal Kulgam hit two police personnel performing duties on road side resulting injuries to both of them.
The injured cops who were sifted to hospital have been identified as Selection Grade Constable Nazir Ahmad, and Constable Dileep Kumar.
The driver was arrested and vehicle seized.
