Srinagar : Jammu and Kashmir Wednesday reported five Covid-19 related deaths while as 332 new positive of deadly virus reported as well in the Union Territory taking the number of positive cases in the Union Territory to 116932.

     Officials told news agency that of the total 332 cases, 181 were from Jammu and 151 from Kashmir.

      *“Of the five fresh deaths, four were reported in Jammu and one from Kashmir division,”* he said.

       Moreover, 415 more COVID-19 patients recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 239 from Jammu Division and 176 from Kashmir Division.

       According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 116932 positive cases, 4346 are Active Positive, 110769 have recovered and 1817 have died; 660 in Jammu division and 1157 in Kashmir division.

       The Bulletin further said that out of 3420425 test results available, 3303493 samples have been tested as negative till December16, 2020. “Till date 836758 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 20163 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 4346 in isolation and 28088 in home surveillance. Besides, 782344 persons have completed their surveillance period,” the bulletin said.

       Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 24444 positive cases (including 53cases reported today) with 1056 Active Positive, 22951 recovered (including87 cases recovered today), 437 deaths; Baramulla has 7773 positive cases (including 19 cases reported today) with 175 Active Positive, 7429 recovered (including 21 cases recovered today), 169deaths; Pulwama reported 5324 positive cases (including 12 case reported today) with 171 active positive cases, 5065 recovered (including 08 cases recovered today), 88 deaths; Kulgam has 2630 positive cases  with 64 Active Positive, 2513 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today), 53 deaths; Shopian has 2433 positive cases (including 01 case reported today) with 76 Active Positive, 2320 recovered and 37 deaths; Anantnag district has 4686positive cases (including 15 cases reported today) with 111 Active Positive, 4493 recovered (including 02cases recovered today), 82 deaths;  Budgam has 7362 positive cases (including 19 cases reported today) with 272 Active Positive and 6985 recovered (including 23 cases recovered today), 105 deaths; Kupwara has 5400 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 174 Active Positive, 5138 recovered (including 14cases recovered today), 88 deaths; Bandipora has 4564 positive cases (including 09 cases reported today) with 81 Active Positive, 4426 recovered (including 19 cases recovered today), 57 deaths and Ganderbal has 4375 positive cases (including 10 cases reported today) with 106 active positive cases, 4228recoveries and 41 deaths.

       Similarly, Jammu has 22470positive cases (including 96 cases reported today) with 819 active positive cases, 21315 recoveries (including 82 cases recovered today), 336 deaths; Rajouri has 3739 positive cases (including 12 cases reported today) with 245 active positive cases, 3441 recovered (including 08 cases recovered today), 53 deaths; Ramban has 2049 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today) with 83 active positive, 1945 recoveries(including 03 cases recovered today) and 21 deaths; Kathua has 3050 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today) with 107 Active positive, 2896 recovered (including 24 cases recovered today), 47 deaths; Udhampur has 3982 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today) with 229 active positive cases, 3699 recovered (including 31 cases recovered today) and 54 deaths; Samba has 2647 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 184 Active Positive, 2429 recoveries(including 53 cases recovered today)and 34 deaths; Doda has 3315 positive cases (including 12 cases reported today) with 121 active positive cases, 3134 recoveries (including 21 cases recovered today), 60 deaths; Poonch has 2424 positive cases (including 02cases reported today) with 30 active positive, 2372 recoveriesand 22 deaths; Reasi has 1575 positive cases with 117 active positive, 1446recoveries  and 12 deaths while Kishtwar has 2690 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 125 active positive cases and 2544 recoveries (including 17 cases recovered today) and 21 deaths.

       According to the bulletin, among the total 116932 positive cases, 11041 have been reported as travelers while 105891 as others. The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing. The Central Government is continuously monitoring the evolving situation of Covid-19 in the Union Territory and is providing all necessary support towards effective containment of the spread of Covid-19 and better clinical management of positive cases.
