Army today recovered a Mahindra Xylo (JK 09 A 1569) which skidded off due to hvy snowfall with inclement weather and toppled into a nala in Jugtiyal Village at around 11:30 AM on 03 Jan 2021.
On receiving call on Army Help Line Number of nearest Army post, teams including medical persons and recovery mechanics reached the spot. The driver was out of danger with minor injuries.
Army teams mobilised the villagers around to help in recovery efforts and with great synergy recovered the vehicle by 03:30 PM.
“My vehicle is my means of earning livelihood and with Army help, my vehicle was recovered atleast. These brothers with arms are true brothers of Awam who reach out to any person at any time of the day for any type of problem we face” expressed Irfan Khan, the owner.
Sarpanch of Jugtiyal- Ghulam Rasool Khan and BDC of Hayama Ali Mohammed also expressed that “the Army is always there for us whenever in need and on behalf of Awam I wholeheartedly thank them for the way they respond with full dedication and energy and they have become part of us”.
