Srinagar, Jan 11: Jammu and Kashmir on Monday recorded one more death due to COVID-19 taking the death toll to 1,911 in the Union Territory while 113 positive cases were reported taking the tally of positive cases to 122,651 in J&K.

Of the exact number of 122,651 cases, 71,838 are from Kashmir and 50,813 from Jammu division. Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 113 new cases, 67 belong to Kashmir division while as 46 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 71,838 including 69,739 recoveries and 1,199 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 50,813 including 49,233 recoveries and 712 deaths.

The officials said that total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,768 including 900 from Kashmir division and 868 from Jammu division.

With 355 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 118,972 which is 97.0004 percent of the total cases.

“Cases tested positive in J&K include 42 from Srinagar, 01 from Baramulla, 07 from Budgam, 05 from Kupwara, 04 from Pulwama, 02 from Anantnag, 03 from Bandipora, 01 from Ganderbal, 01 from Kulgam and 01 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 46 from Jammu division include 35 from Jammu, 05 from Udhampur, 02 from Rajouri, 00 from Doda, 02 from Kathua, 01 from Kishtwar, 00 from Samba, 01 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.

Notably, in the last 24 hours one person who was tested positive for COVID-19 has died, who belongs to Jammu district.

As per officials figures, 25,638 positive cases including 451 deaths and 24,968 recoveries are from Srinagar, 8,034 including 172 deaths and 7,786 recoveries are from Baramulla, 7,681 including 7,495 recoveries and 111 deaths are from Budgam, 5,601 including 5,419 recoveries and 94 deaths are from Kupwara, 5,641 including 88 deaths and 5,458 recoveries are from Pulwama, 4,835 including 4,684 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Anantnag, 4,671 cases including 4,564 and 61 deaths are from Bandipora, 4,534 including 4,404 recoveries and 46 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,670 including 2,566 recoveries and 53 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,533 including 2,395 recoveries and 39 deaths are from Shopian.

In Jammu division, 24,380 including 23,566 recoveries and 365 deaths are from Jammu district, 4,166 including 4,018 recoveries and 57 deaths are from Udhampur, 3,860 including 3,749 recoveries and 55 deaths are from Rajouri, 3,422 including 3,316 recoveries and 64 deaths are from Doda, 3,237 including 3,168 recoveries and 50 deaths are from Kathua, 2,729 including 2,699 recoveries and 22 deaths are from Kishtwar, 2,802 including 2,619 recoveries and 39 deaths are from Samba, 2,468 including 2,408 recoveries and 24 deaths are from Poonch, 2,118 including 2,089 recoveries and 21 deaths are from Ramban and 1,631 including 1,601 recoveries and 15 deaths are from Reasi.

As per the daily information bulletin, 962,197 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 33,663 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,768 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 892,620 persons have completed surveillance period and 32,235 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 4,112,373 samples are available.

Out of 4,112,373 the number of samples tested negative stands at 3,989,722 while as 122,651 have tested positive, among them 1,768 persons are active, 118,972 persons have recovered and 1,911 persons have died—(KNO)
