Kupwara, Jan 17: A police personal has succumbed of grave head injuries, he sustained while cutting firewood for a mosque at Madhmadav area of Lolab in this frontier district.
Reports reaching GNS said that one Khursheed Ahmad Baba (27) son of Late Abdul Aziz Baba, presently posted at PCR Kupwara as Constable, received serious head injuries while cutting firewood for mosque.
The injured was immediately rushed to Sub-District Hospital Kupwara, however he was brought dead on arrival by the doctors present there.
Meanwhile it has been learnt from a close relative that the deceased was sole earning hand in the family, comprising of his widowed mother and three unmarried sisters.
