Bandipora, Feb 8: Sub-Divisional Magistrate Gurez has requested District Development Commissioner to direct Beacon authorities to start snow clearance operation on Bandipora-Gurez road which is closed for traffic since January 1.
SDM Gurez Dr Mudasir Ahmed Wani in a communique to DDC Bandipora has stated that since this year there was less snowfall and weather conditions are also good, so Beacon authorities should be directed to start snow clearance operation on the road.
“It is requested to kindly direct OC Beacon – 56 RCC Sonawari Bandipora for starting the snow Clearance on Gurez- Bandipora Road from 15th February 2021 so that the road connectivity to the Sub Division can be restored at an earliest,” the communique reads. (KNT)
