Sopore, 08 Feb : The residents of Krankshivan Colony area of Sopore town in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district are suffering baldy due to the pathetic condition of a link road.

The residents claimed that the concerned Roads and Buildings (R&B) authorities have forgotten to repair the road which is lying in shambles condition for long now.

At several places, there are huge potholes and these holes have not been repaired for a long time. “One gets bone-shattering experience all the way while passing through the road. These holes also cause severe waterlogging.”, the aggrieved residents said.

Khursheed Ahmed a resident told the correspondent that, this road has been neglected from past years and we are suffering a lot, He further added that this road was macadamized in the year 2015 and since than it has been left on God’s mercy”

Locals appeal the concerned department to look into the matter so that it could ease the residents

Meanwhile Executive Engineer Roads and Buildings (R&B) department Sopore Division told, department is lacking funds, we cannot do anything and dropped the call.
