Dooru police laid naka under supervision of Dysp Ishant Gupta along with Station Officer Syed Nazeer Andhrabi a vehicle bearing registration number JK03F 5523 was intercepted at village Gultigund Verinag area of South Kashmirs Anantnag district.
During search of this vehicle, Around 14 kgs of poppy straw(fukki) was recovered from the vehicle which was hidden in vehicle. The person responsible for transporting the above menioned consignment and driving the car has been arrested and identified as Shabir Ahmad Mir Son of Mohd Sadiq Mir resident of Qammar Shahbaad Dooru.
The vehicle used for transportation of the illegal material has also been seized. Case FIR No. 05 U/S 8/15 under relevant sections of NDPS has been registered in Police Station Dooru.
People are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers and report such activities to concerned authorities.
