Kulgam, Feb 11: Continuing its drive against the Drug peddlers and its propagators, Kulgam Police arrested one more drug peddler from Qazigund area.
Acting swiftly upon an information information recieved by Kulgam Police, a special Naka at Alstop was established by the police party led by I/C PP Mirbazar Sub Inspector Imtiyaz Ahmad under the supervision of SHO Qazigund Insp. Irshad Reshi and I/C SDPO Qazigund Shri. Surinder Mohan-JKPS intercepted a suspicious vehicle (auto) without Number Plate and documents, going through checking officers present were able to recover 11 Kg of grinded Poppy straw like substance, 01 weighing machine, 01 Grinding machine, Cash amount of ₹226500 and Cheque amounting ₹50000 from the possession of one person boarding in the said vehicle whose identity has been ascertained as:- Mohd Aslam Mir S/O Bashir Ahmad Mir R/O Buchroo Kulgam who was arrested and the vehicle used in commission of crime was seized.
Regarding the incident, Case FIR Number 27/2021 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Qazigund.
