Kulgam, Feb 11; District Police Kulgam continuing its war against Social evils and arrested three more Drug Peddlers along with Poppy Straw like substance weighing 1.5Kg and Charas like substance weighing 100 grams from their possession.
A Naka was established near Alstop where police party of Police Post Mirbazar led by SI Imtiyaz Ahmad under the supervision of I/C SDPO Qazigund Shri. Surinder Mohan-JKPS and SHO Qazigund Insp. Irshad Reshi intercepted a vehicle (Truck) bearing registration No. JK14A-9455. Going through checking, officers present were able to recover 1.5Kg of Poppy straw like substances from the possession of two persons whose identity has been ascertained as:-
Mohinder Singh S/O Nand Singh and Harpal Singh S/O Darshan Singh both the residents of R S Pora Jammu. The accused were arrested and the vehicle used in commission of crime was seized. In this regard Case FIR No. 25/2021 U/S 8/15 NDPS act stands registered at Police Station Qazigund and further investigation initiated.
Another person at the same place roaming in suspicious manner was intercepted by the police party present and during his personal search Charas like substance weighing 100 grams was recovered from his possession whose identity has been ascertained as:- Reyaz Ahmad Dar S/O Abdul Razzaq Dar R/O Harnag. In this regard Case FIR No. 26/2021 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Qazigund and further investigation initiated.
