AUTHORITIES IN DEEP SLUMBER
Anantnag, Feb 16: The village kulgad hardly 2kms from achabal spring faces the scaricity of drinking water from last four days.women folk compelled to fetch water buckets on heads as we are still living in 19th century.
From last four days days departmental officials are saying that the lines are filled with air. Water supply of Brakpora, Donipawa and thajiwara is going well which are at the distance of 4kms from achabal.
But for Kulgad lines are filled with air. It is an irony that four lines are going through our village, viz 2 for Brakpora 2 for thajiwara but None for the village kulgad.
From last ten years we are requesting the concerned department for a separate pipeline for kulgad, but every time we are being decieved by the concerned officials.
Now we request Worthy DDC ANANTNAG to kindly intervene in the matter. So that we may not face this scarcity of water in future.
