JKCA is now known as Parvez Rasool Cricket Association, Claim Cricketers
Share:

Srinagar, Feb 16: Active cricketers from Jammu and Kashmir have leveled grave allegations against their fellow cricketer Parvez Rasool accusing him of ‘poisoning’ the atmosphere in current J&K team. These cricketers have accused Parvez of behaving like a dictator.

Sources told News Agency Kashmir News Trust that these various active cricketers including Manzoor Pandav have dispatched a memorandum to the Chief Executive Officer, J&K Cricket Association saying they are having grievances about the ‘toxic’ atmosphere in the J&K Cricket and J&K Cricket team.

“This unacceptable toxic atmosphere has been created by one individual to whom you have yielded all your power and given free hand. He has turned into a dictator who does everything and fears none. This individual, to whom you have given all the power has turned J&K cricket into Urban vs Rural divide. JKCA is now known as Parvez Rasool Cricket Association,” the memorandum reads.

It further reads that JKCA has become a butt of jokes. “We have no grudge with JKCA but want to put an end to the toxic atmosphere.”

They alleged that without the consent of Parvez Rasool not a single leaf can move in the team during tours. “When he is with team, players are so stressed that sometimes they are unable to perform. It is all because there is no one to question him and he is taking all decisions.”

They have alleged that Parvez Rasool acts as captain, coach and manager. “All the players are others are subservient to him. There is no selection procedure, no clear cut shortlist, no announcement in advance. This is how things related to selection have been done recently in JKCA with Parvez Rasool calling all the shots.”

The memorandum as per KNT reads that there is no transparency in the system and it is all because Parvez Rasool is ruling the roost and managing affairs single handedly.

They said Parvez was enjoying no power in presence of Irfan Pathan. “He has become all powerful, even coaches are being selected by him.”

These cricketers have accused Chief Executive Officer, JKCA of surrendering all his powers to Parvez Rasool.

They have accused Parvez also of trying to ruin the career of Abdul Samad and and
pacer Umran Malik.

These cricketers have labeled Parvez a selfish captain. “Since all powers lies in him, there is no scope for merit. He doesn’t show respect to his seniors.

They accused him of ruining the career of Rasikh Salam. “Parvez was all aware about his Fake Date of Birth and still did nothing and instead of that encouraged him to go ahead. Another example is that when Qamran Iqbal was going well and being part of Under-19 India team Parvez halted his career by making sure he doesn’t get selected for J&K Team.”

“For the first time in JK Cricket a senior cricketer lured JKCA to file FIR (Police Complaint) against another cricketer Abid Nabi . The matter should have been solved inside JKCA. Not only that , misusing his power he made sure that Abid Nabi is being suspended by his Department.”

“In the end we request you to act now or it will be too late,” the memorandum reads. (KNT)
