Kulgam, Feb 17 :Kulgam Police continuing its war against drug menace arrested a drug peddler for supplying Drugs.
During Naka checking near filling station Chawalgam, Police party from Police Station Kulgam led by SHO Police Station Kulgam Insp. Abdul Ahad under the supervision of DySP HQR Kulgam Shri. Ghulam Mohd Bhat-JKPS intercepted a person moving in suspicious circumstances carrying two Gunny Bags who after noticing Police party tried to flee from the spot but with strenuous efforts he was apprehended tactfully. The identity of the said person has been ascertained as Ghulam Nabi Lone S/O Ghulam Mohd Lone R/O Rambhama. Two gunny bags filled with Poppy Straw like substance weighing 11 Kg were recovered from his possession.
In this connection case FIR No. 18/2021 under section 8/15 of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kulgam and investigation has been taken up.
Public is requested to extend cooperation to the Police and come forward with any information regarding anti-social activity in their neighborhood.
