Sopore, Feb 20 : Acting on the directions of Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore Parvaiz Sajad and in the interest of student community, authorities in Sopore town today launched surprise inspection drive in which 06 tution centres across the Town were inspected to ascertain whether they are adhering to the regulatory framework or not.

A team was constituted by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sopore, accompanied by Zonal Educational Officer (ZEO) Sopore and Sopore Police carried out the inspection of 06 centres and a fine of Rs 51,000/ was realized for violating the requisite legalities.

However, warning notices were also issued to several coaching centres wherein they have been asked to strictly follow the prescribed rules failing which legal action shall be initiated against them. 

The coaching/tuition centres that were fined during the inspection include Scaling Heights (Hi-tech) coaching centre, Matrix coaching centre, Wise Institute and Sharp-Career coaching centre in Sopore town.

Pertinently these coaching/tution centres were checked whether they are following regulations like sufficient accommodation, COVID-19 SOPs, reservation for poor and destitute students, student-teacher ratio, mantainence of records among other codal formalities.

Its pertain to mention that, days before In an interactive session with coaching centre owners falling under Sub-division Sopore, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore asked coaching centre owners to strictly follow the government orders/guidelines.

Based on several complaints, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore Parvaiz Sajad called the owners of various coaching centres and advised them to follow the government orders strictly else face the law.
