Anantnag, Mar 01: A youth from South Kashmir’s district who last his right arm in a road accident 12 years before is now driving 4×4 car to extremely difficult terrain across the valley.

Sayar Abdullah,23, a resident of Vessu village in Qazigund belt of Anantnag district who is studying law has been fighting all odds of his life single-handedly. He is inspiring hundreds of disabled persons to come forward and showcase their talent and encouraging them on how to face challenges in life.

Sayar while talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that when he was a 5th class student his right arm broke and to save his life it was finally amputated.

“Accident broke my arm but not my courage. I decided to learn driving, as since childhood I was passionate about it,” he said

He said that his family has been supportive and after he contacted the adventurer group “Kashmir Off-Road” he realized that he pursue his dream.

“Driving has become part of my life and so far I have taken my 4×4 car to Bangus valley and many other far off places,” Sayar said. “My aim is now to take part in driving competitions at a national level.”

He said that there is need that government must open some Institutions where we can encourage and counsel disabled persons as our society aren’t treating disabled persons well.

“There are hundreds of specially-abled people who are lying on a bed or wheelchair but are very much talented. We must encourage them and showcase their talent,” he said—(KNO)
