Anantnag, Mar, 15:Residents of Dooru and adjacents arms up against Power Development Department locals said that with the onset of the winter the villages witnessed unscheduled power cuts.

The locals of Dooru and its adjacents took on street stages protest against Power Development Department.

Protestors shout slogans against Pdd and said they face problems due to unscheduled power cuts and have increased especially during the evening hours.

“Instead of ensuring regular power supply, the Power Development Department is resorting to forced cuts,” said aresident.
Residents of various areas in Anantnag district said that their areas were witnessing repeated power cuts, both in the mornings and evenings.
“We spend evenings in complete darkness,” due to frequent power cuts said a local.
They said that the unscheduled curtailments were hampering the studies of their children preparing for different examinations.

We have approached to higher authorities but nothing was done on ground level instead of fake promises by Department.

They have appealed to Chief Engineer kashmir look into the matter and solve our genuine demand at an earliest.
