Anantnag 29 March 2021 : Proper and good education is very important for all of us. The government primary school in Khanmohalla Chree village of South Kashmir’s Anantnag is painting a grim picture of education sector with institute having only one teacher to teach students up to class 5.

The parents whose wards are enrolled in the school said that the school has total enrolment of 55 students, adding that only one teacher has been deputed to teach all the students, while other posts are lying vacant for a long time.

The locals said that the school also lacks the basic infrastructure and proper accommodation.

“Only three rooms are available at the schools to accommodate 55 students. Besides, the school also drinking water , playground, boundary Wall etc” they said.

The parents said that there were no subject-specific teachers in the school.

“Our wards enrolled in the school are facing immense hardships,” Bashir Ahmad Khan, one of the parent said.

“We appeal to the Director School Education Kashmir, CEO Anantnag Deputy Commissioner Anantnag and ZEO Vailoo to look into the problems and to get the issue redressed at the earliest,” .

A teacher of the school also said that they are facing immense hardships due to the non-availability of basic facilities in the school.” I am the single teacher working here in this institution from many years, I have to manage all the school works like teaching of students, paper work of school, Mid day meal and other related work of school ” Mohammad Ashraf Khan. He added and said that it is not possible for me to cover all the syllabus of all subjects for 5 classes, as I know it is totally injustice with students of my school. He further said that I have already bringed that issue into the notice of my department .

Students of the school while talking with our correspondent Ishfaq Wagay told that it is very hard for our one and single teacher to manage and to teach all our subjects and cover all the syllabus of our books as he can’t manage all that, they further said that if administration really cares about our future they should send us more teachers.

Students and Local residents make an appeal to the concerned department to send some more teachers to the school so that the future of the enrolled students may not get destroyed. (KE)
