Tally at 132,439, death toll 2005; Active cases increase to 3,574; recovery rate decreases to 95.78 per cent

Srinagar, Apr 03: The Covid-19 cases in Jammu and Kashmir continue to rise as 501 fresh positive cases were reported on Saturday pushing the number of active cases near 3,574 which otherwise were less than 600 a few weeks before.
Two more deaths were reported in J&K in last 24 hours taking toll of deaths to 2,005 and active cases continues to increase and recovery rate decreases with each passing day. 501 fresh positive cases reported on Saturday pushed the tally of positive cases to 132,439.
Of the exact number of 132,439 cases, 79,194 are from Kashmir and 53,245 from Jammu division. Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 501 new cases, 393 belong to Kashmir division while as 108 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 79,194 including 75,195 recoveries and 1,265 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 53,245 including 51,665 recoveries and 740 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 3,574 including 2,734 from Kashmir division and 840 from Jammu division.
With 140 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 126,860 which is 95.78 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 207 from Srinagar, 89 from Baramulla, 35 from Budgam, 14 from Pulwama, 12 from Kupwara, 11 from Anantnag, 08 from Bandipora, 05 from Ganderbal, 09 from Kulgam and 03 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 108 from Jammu division include 69 from Jammu, 05 from Udhampur, 04 from Rajouri, 01 from Doda, 18 from Kathua, 08 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 01 from Poonch, 01 from Ramban and 01 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
As per officials figures, 29,599 positive cases including 473 deaths and 27,719 recoveries are from Srinagar, 9,099 including 181 deaths and 8,369 recoveries are from Baramulla, 8,357 including 7,953:recoveries and 120 deaths are from Budgam, 6,020 including 5,831 recoveries and 92 deaths are from Pulwama, 5,841 including 97 deaths and 5,651 recoveries are from Kupwara, 5,217 including 5,048 recoveries and 96 deaths are from Anantnag, 4,790 cases including 4,679 and 63 deaths are from Bandipora, 4,737 including 4,647 recoveries and 49 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,878 including 2,707 recoveries and 54 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,656 including 2,591 recoveries and 40 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 26,104 including 25,133 recoveries and 382 deaths are from Jammu district, 4,371 including 4,281 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Udhampur, 3,910 including 3,828 recoveries and 56 deaths are from Rajouri, 3,463 including 3,388 recoveries and 64 deaths are from Doda, 3,382 including 3,242 recoveries and 53 deaths are from Kathua, 2,878 including 2,808 recoveries and 41 deaths are from Samba, 2,756 including 2,717 recoveries and 22 deaths are from Kishtwar, 2,552 including 2,508 recoveries and 26 deaths are from Poonch, 2,163 including 2,118 recoveries and 22 deaths are from Ramban and 1,666 including 1,642 recoveries and 16 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 1,530,491 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 45,150 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 3,574 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 1,356,913 persons have completed surveillance period and 122,849 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 6,168,752 samples are available. Out of 6,168,752 the number of samples tested negative stands at 6,036,313 while as 132,439 have tested positive, among them 3,574 persons are active, 126,860 persons have recovered and 2,005 persons have died—(KNO)
