Men and machinery have reached Pir Ki Gali, end point of the road, says AEE MED
Poonch, Apr 03: The snow clearance operations on Mughal road are in full swing as the men and machinery deployed for the job have reached the Pir Ki Gali, the end point of the road in Poonch district.
Pertinently, the road was closed in the month of October last year due to heavy snowfall after which snow clearance operation was launched by Mechanical Engineering Department in the second week of previous month.
Talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) assistant engineer MED, Tariq Mahmood said that the men and machinery have reached Pir Ki Gali mountainous pass on Friday late evening.
He said that single lane of road has been cleared from Bufliyaz to Pir Ki Gali which is the jurisdiction of Poonch district while men and machinery from Shopian side have also reached near Pir Ki Gali.
He said that now clearance of some narrow turns is going on whereas restoration of traffic is the mandate of civil administration and police—(KNO)
