Anantnag: Continuing offensive to contain the spread of narcotic drugs & psychotropic substances, Anantnag police arrested two drug peddlers and seized 445 grams and 14 bottles of codeine from their possession.
A police official said that during naka checking at college road Dooru laid under supervision by Dysp Dr. Ishan Gupta accompained with Sho Syed Nazir Andrabi two Persons namely Aqib Mushtaq seh S/o Mushtaq Ahmad seh R/O Arabal and Owais Ahmad Wani s/o Javaid Ahmad Wani R/O khudhamam where roaming in suspicious condition, and were apprehended.
During the search 445 grams of Charas and 14 bottles of codeine were recovered from their possession
In this regard Case has been registered under FIR No.22/2021 under relevant sections of law and further investigation taken up.
Locals lauded the efforts taken by Dooru Police keeps younger generation far away from drug addiction.
