Srinagar, Apr 13: The Border Security Force (BSF) men on Tuesday arrested an intruder from Pakistan in RS Pura area of Jammu district, officials said.
Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that alert BSF men observed suspicious movement of a Pak national who had crossed International Border (IB) near BP No 942 and was making a desperate attempt to cross fence.
“He was warned to stop but he did not pay any attention,” officials said, adding that he was subsequently fired upon due to which he got minor injury.
BSF troops subsequently apprehended him and handed him over to police, the officials said, adding that during preliminary questioning, the intruder revealed his identity as Shabbir, 40 approx, son of Yusuf—(KNO)
