Anantnag : 21 April: Protests Erupted at Frehmoo Area of Kokernag in South Kashmir Anantnag district on Wednesday after the dead body of a missing man was found Dead by locals inside a Water Trunch at Frehmoo Kokernag.
Protestors stopped Traffic and blocked the road for hours and later torched the house of one local namely Mohammed Yaqub Bhat, a resident of Frehmoo Gadol Kokernag.
Official sources told that the 36 -year-old Man identified as Gulzar Ah Naik Son of Gh Nabi Naik, a resident of Ahlan Gadol Kokernag, who was missing since 16 April.
A police team was deputed to the spot to retrieve the body, the official said adding that a case in this regard has been registered and further investigations taken up in this regard.
Meanwhile, the body was handed over to the bereaved family on the conduct of medico-legal formalities.
