Anantnag: Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag Dr Piyush Singla, today held a press conference in which he appealed to the general public of District Anantnag to go for vaccination.

“The vaccination is the only way forward to achieve herd immunity. This is possible only if the masses join hands to make the vaccination drive launched by the government successful”, He said, while briefing the media about the control measures being taken by the district administration and have launched a campaign Chalo tika Lagvaye.

He stressed on the need to maintain social distancing, wearing face mask and following other appropriate protocols for preventing the spread of the Corona virus in the District Anantnag, Dr Piyush also said Persons with 45 yrs and above age have to go for Vaccination to nearest centres the Deputy Commissioner said.

Dc Anantnag said at least 6000 persons are presently vacinated in a single day in anantnag but we have gear up upto 13000 for safety of people in anantnag.Ground level teams were established including Patwaris Teachers and Numberdars provide awareness among general public regarding vaccination.

He said that the virus has not been completely eradicated and a caution is needed to prevent the surge. He urged the public of the District to maintain social distancing, wearing face masks, using hand sanitizer, washing hands with soap frequently for preventing the spread of the CoronaVirus.

He appeals general public be a part of Chalo Tika Lagvav Campaign.
