Anantnag, May 20: Government Medical College Anantnag Hospital has expressed anguish over the video that is being circulated on social media.
A spokesperson of the hospital said that it is highly unfortunate that various people on social media are circulating a video about one patient who was admitted in Casualty Section of Govt Medical College Hospital Anantnag without doing prior research about actual happenings.
While divulging information about the incident, the spokesperson as per news agency Kashmir News Trust said that the said Patient was admitted in the morning hours in Casualty Section of the Hospital with chief complaints of Severe breathlessness with B/L Pneumonia (Double pneumonia) and Respiratory failure. The patient had Oxygen Saturation of 50 at the time of arrival. Emergency treatment as per Clinical requirements was immediately given apart from oxygen, as can be seen on video with oxygen mask overlying the face of the patient. The doctor was continuously monitoring the Patient as can be visualized on the said video footage.
“Meanwhile all the necessary investigations were sent along with RT-PCR test to rule out Covid. However, despite giving all the necessary treatment and oxygen, the patient could not make out and expired at 1:30 pm.” (KNT)
