Shopian, June 21: A policeman sustained bullet injuries to his foot after his service rifle went off accidentally inside a police vehicle in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a Police Party from District Police Lines Shopian were on way to Butt Kathuhallan village of Keller for practice fire.

On way, the rifle of one of the police constables went off inside the vehicle resulting injuries to his foot.

The constable was shifted to District Hospital Shopian where his condition is stated to be stable. (KNT)
