Srinagar, October 9: The Jammu and Kashmir Police are likely to witness a major reshuffle, with more than 100 officers, including those holding the ranks of Superintendent of Police (SP), Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and Inspector General (IG), expected to be affected.

According to Kashmir Dot Com, sources have indicated that the proposed reshuffle may involve changes at several levels of the police hierarchy, with many districts likely to get new police heads.

MHA clears proposal, file sent to Finance Ministry for approval

The transfers are expected to cover officers holding key field and administrative positions across Jammu and Kashmir.However, the final list of officers and their new postings is awaited.

The reshuffle, once formally ordered, is expected to bring changes to police leadership in several districts and other important formations.
