New Delhi: It was on August 9 that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had released the 9th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana for the farmers. More than Rs 19,500 crore was transferred directly into the bank accounts of over 9.75 crore beneficiary farmer households.

However, if you are a farmer and one of those people whose name was not included in the list, you can directly approach the District Level Grievance Redressal Monitoring Committee of your district to include your name and to avail of the 9th installment.

In addition to this, the government has also introduced an exclusive Farmers’ Corner in the PM-KISAN web portal i.e. www.pmkisan.gov.in. Through this, farmers are provided with three different options to avail of the facility.

New Farmer’s Registration: This link helps the farmers to submit their details online by filling out some personal details and self-declaration regarding eligibility. The form that the farmers fill is then directly forwarded to the State Nodal Officer (SNO) for confirmation.

1. The State Nodal Officer then verifies the information that the farmers’ filled in and uploads it on the PM-KISAN portal.

2. Farmers are free to edit their names on the portal in accordance with their Aadhaar Card after which it gets updated and authenticated on the system.

3. Farmer beneficiaries, through their Aadhaar Number, Bank Account Number, or the registered Mobile Number can check the status of their installments as well.

Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, direct payment of Rs 6000 is transferred to the farmer’s account in three installments of Rs 2000, every four months. If you are a farmer then you can check the status of the same on the official PM Kisan portal which is  http://www.pmkisan.gov.in or via the official mobile app. ( DNA)
