Shopain, A policeman was killed in an accident at his native village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, officials said on Satiurday.
They said that the policeman, Zadil Ahmad Bhat son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat of Bandpahoo Chitragam, was critically injured after hit by a speeding load carrier late last evening. Zadil was referred to SKIMS Soura where he succumbed to his injuries, they added.
A police official confirming the accident told GNS that a case has been registered. Zadil was on leave.
