Srinagar: Many laborers are associated with the unorganized sector in the country, who have to struggle with unemployment & poverty. To work for their struggle and daily problems, e-shram card is being provided by the government.

Through this, the workers of the unorganized sector get the benefits of government schemes easily. Not only this, there is another great news for workers.

Workers To Get Rs 500 Per Month
As per the media report, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced to give Rs 500 per month from December to March to about 2.5 crore laborers & about 60 lakh registered laborers in the unorganized sector.

Target To Register 38 Crore Workers

The government has set a target to register about 38 crore workers on the e-shram portal.

Of these, more than 12.20 crore workers have been registered so far.

At the same time, 25691084 workers have registered themselves on the labor portal in UP.

Now they will be given 500 rupees every month by the government till March.

Online registration for the e-shram card can be done till December 31, 2021.

Workers Associated with Agriculture Will Get Benefit
Among the people who have e-shram cards in UP, the maximum number of 1.24 crore workers are associated with the agriculture sector.

Farmers of These Districts Have Registered
Talking about the workers of Uttar Pradesh, who have registered on the e-shram portal, then the people of Purvanchal are at the forefront.

At the same time, women of Uttar Pradesh are far ahead of men in registering on the e-shram portal.

According to the data given on the e-shram portal till December 16, 2021, the number of women who got the e-shram card is 51.17% and that of men is 48.83%.

The lowest 5.87% are workers in the age group of 16-18 years.

The percentage of those above 50 is 10.89 and that of those 40-50 is 20.41%.

Get Insurance in e-Shram Card
Under the PM Suraksha Bima Yojana, the workers of the unorganized sector get insurance up to Rs 2 lakh if ​​they register with this portal.

There is no need to pay a premium for this. Apart from this, various types of social security benefits will also be distributed through e-shram.

Other Benefits of Having e-Shram Card
If you have an e-shram card, then you can take advantage of all the schemes of the labor department such as scholarships to children, free cycles, free sewing machines, free tools for your work, etc. Further, this e-card will be linked with the ration card. With this, the cheap ration will be available to the workers of the country.

Documents Required for e-Shram Card
Aadhar card, a mobile number that should be linked to Aadhar for worker labor/laborer to register for the e-shram card. There is no fee to be paid for registration. As this facility is free-of-cost.

How to register for e-Shram Card?
You can register for the e-shram card in 3 simple ways.

Self-registration can be done through the e-shram portal via: http://eshram.gov.in.

You can register through Common Service Centers.

Registration can also be done by the regional offices of the state government in the districts/sub-districts.
