Srinagar, Mar 09: Organizational elections of Anjuman Urdu Sahafat Jammu and Kashmir, an association of journalists and correspondents affiliated to Urdu journalism in Jammu and Kashmir, were held on Wednesday.
“Members took part in the voting online (WhatsApp) on Wednesday morning. Senior journalists Riyaz Masroor, Haroon Rasheed and Bilal Qureshi acted as observers along with Chief Election Commissioner Manohar Lalgami,” a statement issued to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
“Election process continued till 2 o’clock. Apart from three commissioners Shabir Malik, Imtiaz Ahmad Khan and Mohammad Taskin , Member Commission Ghulam Nabi Wani was also present. Former President Riyaz Malik was re-elected as President while as Former provincial president of Anjuman Kashmir Bilal Furqani has been elected as general secretary,” the statement said—(K
