Srinagar, April 21:Three LeT militants including the outfits commander and the longest surviving militant Mohd Yousuf Kantroo were killed in a gunfight which had started around 4:00am on Thrusday at Malwah area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla.
The encounter had ensued after joint team of Police and army laid a cordon and search operation amid reports about presence of militants in the area, a top police officer told GNS.
“Mohd Yousuf Kantroo who had escaped during gunfights number of times has been neutralised along with other two militants”, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar told GNS.
He said Kantroo was involved in number of cases and was one of the longest surviving militant in the valley. He was active in central Kashmir Budgam and Srinagar districts beside North Kashmir’s Baramulla, the top cop said.(GNS)
