Kokernag, May 05: A Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant active since 2017 was arrested during Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Kokernag area of Anantnag on Thursday.
An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that on specific input about the presence of militants, a joint team of forces launched CASO in Tengpawa-Sagam area of Kokernag on Thursday.
He said that during search operation one militant was apprehended tactfully who has been identified as Mohammad Ishaq Shergojri son of Abdul Ahad Shergojri resident of Nowgam, Verinag who was active since September 15, 2017 and was associated with Hizb-ul-Mujahideen.
