Srinagar May 13: A Policeman who was shot at and injured by militants Gudaroo area of Pulwama succumbed to his wounds at an army hospital here, officials said on Friday.
A senior police officer told GNS that militants fired upon constable Riyaz Ahmad Thoker at his residence in Gudoora area this morning.
He was subsequently shifted to DH Pulwama and referred to 92Base army hospital here. Where he succumbed to injuries.
The police officer said that a case has been already registered and investigation are underway.
He said that soon after the attack, the entire area was cordoned off.(GNS)
