Srinagar, May 18: Traffic headquarters office was partially gutted in a pre-dawn fire at Molana Azad (MA) road in Kashmir capital Srinagar on Wednesday, officials said.
They told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that a fire broke out on the last floor of the Traffic headquarters office this morning. Fire engines were rushed to spot immediately after receiving the information about the blaze.
Last storey of the building was completely damaged in this blaze which was contained after hectic efforts by the fire and emergency men besides teams from SDRF without causing further damage to the office building.
A police official told KDC that the cause of the fire was not immediately known, however a case is being registered and further investigation have been set into motion. Various records lying in the last floor of the traffic department were gutted completely in this mishap, he said, adding that there was no injury to any person in this fire incident. (KDC)
