Shopian; A Mega awareness camp organaised by department of handloom and handicrafts at Shopian in which hundreds of artisans given an awareness about different schemes from the department. Different officers from the department have highlighted the achievements and goals for the financial year.
The department has registered more than 8500 artisans under the different schemes are being given financial assistance and they setting different units in different areas. The small or big units have setup in more than 100 villages of the district. The artisans were very happy after gone through this awareness camp and on spot many artisans have been given registered cards from where they can avail different benefits to earn their livelihood.
