Ganderbal, Dec 12: Authorities on Monday decided to allow one-way traffic towards Srinagar from Kargil along Srinagar-Leh highway on Tuesday.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that in view of frost and slippery conditions of the road, tomorrow subject to fair weather and road clearance, only one way traffic from Kargil towards Srinagar shall be allowed on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri road.
“All these vehicles shall be allowed from Minamarg at 1000 hrs, LMVs followed by HMVs up to 1300 hrs, and Motorists are advised to carry an anti-skid chain to gain more grip on the slippery road.”
Furthermore, the official said that “no vehicles shall be allowed without anti-skid chains. Security forces shall follow the same schedule. No vehicle shall be allowed before and after cutting off timings.”—(KNO)
