Policeman from Budgam shoots self-dead in Srinagar
Srinagar July 30, : A policeman of the armed wing allegedly ended his life by shooting himself dead with his service rifle in Rajbagh area of summer capital Srinagar, officials said.
An official told that a policeman of IRP 10th Battalion identified as Abdul Hamid, son of Ali Mohammad Dar, a resident of Alapora Budgam ended his life by shooting himself at Hotel Asian place here.
Hamid was immediately shifted to SMHS hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Meanwhile police have taken cognizance of the incident and investigation has been set into motion. (KDC)
