Budgam, Aug 1: A soldier ended his life by allegedly hanging himself in a washroom at the old Airfield area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Official sources said that a soldier identified as Mahesh Kumar was found dead in the washroom. His colleagues found him hanging with a rope and informed the authorities.
The incident occurred at 256 Transit Camp and the deceased was affiliated with 34 Rashtriya Rifles.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered a case under relevant sections of law. [KNT]
