Dr Bishwa Nath Tiwari completed 2nd time Ironman Championship
New Delhi : Dr. Bishwanath Tiwari, an Onco surgeon working with Northern Railway Central Hospital and Indias first surgeon who completed Ironman championship last year in Denmark now again achieved another feather in his cap by completing 2nd time Ironman Championship on19th August,2023 in Kalmar Sweden.
The Ironman Championship comprises 3.8 km swimming in sea, 180 km cycling and 42 km of running with in cut off time of 16 hours. However,Dr.Tiwari accomplished the event in 14 hr and 33 minutes.
He said, it was very tough and challenge to swim against Ocean waves & chilling water of sea and during cycling the speed of wind was 24km/hr but he finished strongly.
He dedicated his Ironman championship to Indian Railways and people of India.
