Srinagar, Jun 04: Jailed politician and Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) Abdul Rashid Sheikh, known among the social circles as Er. Rashid is set for a thumping win in the Baramulla Lok Sabha segment.

Up against political bigwigs, JKNC’s Vice President Omar Abdullah, JKPC’s Sajad Gani Lone, PDP’s Mir Fayaz among others, Er Rashid has so far amassed a total of 343953 votes – as per data available on ECI website at 2:30 PM, as per GNS.

Omar Abdullah seemingly the first runner has earned 186890 votes, Sajad Gani Lone 116667 votes and Mir Mohammad Fayaz 20895 votes.

The counting process continues and the final results will be reported accordingly. (GNS)
