Srinagar, July 11: In a significant development, Janata Dal United President for Jammu Kashmir Unit, GM Shaheen met Mirwaiz Umar Farooq at his Nigeen residence in Srinagar outskirts on Thursday morning.
Sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that GM Shaheen arrived at the residence of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and there was an interaction between the two.
Sources added that both the leaders discussed the present political and social scenario.
When contacted, GM Shaheen declined to divulge information, however, he admitted that he met Mirwaiz Umar at his residence.
“There was a fruitful discussion on the current political scenario. People have been facing a lot of problems and we have the responsibility to mitigate the sufferings of the general public,” Shaheen said. [KNT
