Srinagar, July 20: Cyber Police Kashmir has issued a stern warning to social media users regarding the circulation of sectarian and inflammatory content online.

As per the details available, the police department has taken cognizance of certain posts that have the potential to disrupt public harmony and peace.

As per News Agency Kashmir Scroll, Cyber Police Kashmir urged all individuals to refrain from sharing such content.

The department emphasized the importance of collective effort in maintaining a peaceful and harmonious society, particularly in the sensitive region of Jammu and Kashmir.

“We urge everyone to refrain from sharing sectarian and inflammatory content,” the statement read. “Let’s work together to maintain harmony and peace. Your cooperation is essential.”

The police department also issued a crucial reminder about the legal consequences of violating cyber laws. “Sharing content that violates cyber laws will lead to strict legal action,” the statement warned. “Cyber Police Kashmir is committed to ensuring our digital space remains safe and respectful for everyone.”

This warning comes in light of increased vigilance by law enforcement agencies to prevent the spread of hate speech and divisive content on social media platforms.

The authorities have been closely monitoring online activities to identify and act against individuals who propagate such material.(KS)
