Pattan : 27 July , The Governing Body of SSM College of Engineering had its 21st meeting on 27th July 2024 to review the working and other institutional activities.
The meeting was chaired by Prof. (Dr.) P.N. Razdan Former Vice-Chancellor Dr. D. Y. Patil University Pune/Principal Advisor Quality Assurance & Excellence Cell, GEF, Mohd. Ashraf Fazli Former Chief Engineer, Er. Aamir Ali Superintending Engineer Rural Engineering Wing Kashmir Prof. (Dr.) MRD Kundangar Former Director LAWDA, Prof. (Dr.) M. Ashraf Shah HOD Physics NIT Srinagar,  Mrs. Roma Wani (KAS) Former Honorary General Secretary Indian Red Cross Society J&K, Dr. Qazi Shabir Ahmad Chairman, Mrs. Dilafrose Qazi Vice-Chairperson, Dr. Sajad Hussain Din Principal/Member Secretary of the Governing Body, , Prof.(Dr.) N.A. Shah Registrar, Prof.(Dr.) N.A. Shah Former Principal SSM College of Engineering, Mr. Adil Rashid Naqash Former KAS Officer and HODs of the Institute were also present in the meeting.

The agenda of the meeting was put before the Governing Body which was discussed item-wise in detail and decisions were taken accordingly.

In his address Prof. (Dr.) P.N. Razdan who chaired the meeting appreciated the efforts of the College Management for Introduction of Short-Term Certificate Course in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and in this behalf gave some valuable suggestions for making the course more effective in skill enhancement of students.

Besides many points Prof. Razdan stressed upon the need to have value talks/motivational speeches by reputed Alumni and strengthen their bond with the college for overall benefit of the students.
The Vice-Chairperson of the Institute expressed gratitude to the members of the Governing Body for giving valuable suggestions and assured them that follow-up action will be taken accordingly.
