Kulgam, Aug, 05 : Government of UT of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered that 5th of August every year shall be celebrated as “Day of Resolution for Freedom from Corruption”. In order to celebrate the occasion Kulgam Police organized awareness-cum- sensitization programme at DPO Kulgam. The objective behind celebration of Day of Resolution for Freedom from Corruption on 5th of August every year is part of the Govt multi-pronged approach where a key strategy is to encourage all stakeholders to collectively participate in this fight against corruption. The strategy includes ways to combat corruption and to raise public awareness regarding the threat posed by corruption.
During this programme, the participating officers/officials were made aware about various provisions, rules regulations and Govt orders in place for curbing this menace of corruption. Integrity pledge was also administered among the participating officers/officials with regard to following exemplary conduct and preventing corrupt practices.
